Visitors are sure of a warm welcome from hosts John and Sandy Reynolds when staying at Sorbietrees B&B, a delightful stone farmhouse nestling in the Liddesdale Valley near Newcastleton offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, quiet comfortable bedrooms, log fires, and a generous choice of breakfasts.
Set in 22 acres, Sorbietrees is a peaceful and picturesque farmhouse B&B (STB 3 Star). All rooms are quiet, attractive and well appointed, each having colour TV/DVD player, clock radio, hospitality tray and “little extras” to enhance your stay. Choose from the luxury en-suite room with super-king bed, sofa, double ended bath and separate shower or standard double or twin/family rooms. In addition, visitors are also able to take advantage of a comfortable guest lounge with log fire, perfect for relaxing after a long day.
Sit in the garden and enjoy the unspoilt scenery while watching and listening to the huge variety of birds and abundant wildlife, including red squirrels.
Sorbietrees provides ample private parking and secure lock up for motorcycles and bicycles, together with drying facilities for outdoor clothing.
Situated within easy distance of the main A7 Borders Historic Route from Carlisle to Edinburgh, Sorbietrees is the perfect base to explore Scotland’s Castles, Abbeys, Country Houses, along with the history, culture and wildlife of the Borders Reivers country.
Sandy and John are also happy to offer a lift to the local pub and back for an evening meal for cyclists without vehicle back-up.
B & B accommodation for horse and rider are also available and, an experienced horsewoman herself, Sandy is happy to offer advice on local hacks.
