Throughout the year, the Directors at Media Today Online select organisations that have best demonstrated a proven ability to go that extra mile in not only meeting but exceeding the needs of their clients. Therefore, in line with this philosophy, it gives us pleasure to announce ST. LAWRENCE HOLIDAY PARK has been selected to receive the ONLINE AWARD FOR CARAVAN PARK SPECIALIST OF THE YEAR 2011, an independent Award Programme recognised both locally and nationally.
Situated on the banks of the River Blackwater in St. Lawrence Bay, Essex, St. Lawrence Holiday Home Park is owned and managed by the Duce Family, Husband and wife team of Karen and Gary, ably assisted by Tony, Peter and Mick.
Mick Jackson, the Site Manager commented: “We pride ourselves on offering our guests a peaceful and tranquil setting that enables them to make the most of their precious holiday time.” This philosophy has proven highly successful with many holiday home owners having regularly returned to the Park for over 50 years, some now have grand-children owning caravans on the park.
Having recently undergone extensive refurbishment, the Judges were particularly impressed with the wide range of facilities offered at St. Lawrence including telephone and high speed broadband internet connections, a new adventure play area located adjacent to the park, a fully fitted launderette reopening this season, together with a launching ramp on the Park’s private beach for all water craft and the recently upgraded Restaurant “The Indian Ocean” in the St Lawrence Inn, the Park’s entertainment venue.
Residents staying on the Park will find the nearby General Store/Post Office ideal for getting their newspapers, local produce and groceries.
Thanks to the Park’s location on the banks of the River Blackwater estuary, holiday home owners are able to enjoy a selection of water based activities such as sailing, angling, windsurfing and water-skiing; with the Park’s private beach and launching ramp benefiting residents.
Golf enthusiasts can choose from the three quality golf facilities in the area - the Burnham Golf Course, Mayland Driving Range with a pitch and putt course or the 3 Rivers Golf & Country Club.
For ornithologists Brent Geese, Black Crested Seagulls, Terns, and a number of various waders inhabit this SSSI, Ramsar site which is an internationally important area of outstanding natural beauty.
 
Other places of interest to visit nearby include ST. PETERS ON THE WALL the Oldest church in ENGLAND at Bradwell and the site of the "BATTLE OF MALDON". Alternatively you can enjoy country walks….laze alongside your luxury caravan or stroll along miles of sea walls.
As you would expect from such a quality-conscious Park, ST. LAWRENCE CARAVAN HOME PARK is a member of the British Holiday & Home Parks Association, and a member of Visit Essex.
Quality graded, St. Lawrence is no stranger when it comes to commendations having been a finalist of the Caravan Holiday section of the Essex Tourism Awards, also been accredited as a David Bellamy Silver Award Park. Receiving this latest accolade not only forms the final piece of the jigsaw that confirms the success of ST. LAWRENCE CARAVAN HOME PARK, but it also acts as a seal of approval to prospective home owners.
