


If you regularly give to charities, or think that you ought to give and haven't quite got around to it, the organisations featured in this section will give you some ideas as to where your money would be best utilised. Charities featured range from; animal welfare trusts, charities for older people, war veterans and under-privileged children to organisations preparing valuable research for diseases and illnesses such as Cancer, Heart Disease and Glaucoma.
National initiatives and their events, such as Children In Need, Comic Relief and Sport Relief, will also be featured at a time in the year specific to their work.
There are many ways to donate to charity as well as sponsorship through fundraising events; donors can send a cheque or postal order together with a signed declaration to a charity of their choice, open a Charity Card Account and make donations whenever they feel like it by telephone, post or online. Other schemes include the popular Give As You Earn programme, and the option of leaving a legacy in your will, free of inheritance text; details of which can be found by contacting your desired charity as featured in this section.

Human Values Foundation
The Human Values Foundation (HVF) is the publisher and promoter of values-based educational programmes. It was formed in 1995 to encourage, promote and develop human values among young people through its educational programmes, publications, exhibitions, conferences and staff exploration sessions. The HVF is a non-denominational and independent body, which does not represent or work on behalf of any particular religion or spiritual interest. It is a registered charity and a private company, limited by guarantee. The HVF enjoys close links with national education bodies in the UK.

BRACE (Bristol Research into Alzheimer's and Care of the Elderly) is a registered charity (No. 297965) established in 1987 to finance research into conditions of the elderly, particularly Alzheimer's Disease. We support research projects undertaken in universities and hospitals in the South West of the UK, particularly in Bristol, which is a centre of excellence for neuroscience research.

Simon is a community of homeless people and volunteers living and working together in a spirit of acceptance, tolerance and understanding.We exist as a community to reach out to, support and campaign for people who are homeless or rootless, and particularly those for whom no other provision exists.
