Founded by Gerry Prout over a quarter of a century ago, The Boat Shed is a family business that specialises in the service and repair of boats, engines, jet skis and trailers.  Helping to run the business, Gerry’s son Nick outlined the advantages in dealing with a relatively small, owner-led company such as THE BOAT SHED:

“Over the past 25 years we have been able to build-up a good reputation for providing a customer-focused service consisting high quality workmanship, reliability and good value for money.” This successful philosophy has enabled the company to achieve a sound client base of satisfied clients all of whom are happy to recommend the company to their family, friends and colleagues.

He added: “Our business is designed primarily to repair and service all boats, engines, jet skis and trailers but we tend to specialise in older makes of engines, together with supplying and fitting new and second hand spares.”

The company can repair most inflatable craft, take on new engine installations - both outboard and inboard, as well as having the ability to tackle small fabrication work and welding repairs.  The company is also able to collect and deliver boats to meet the client’s requirements.

Despite the company’s year-on-year success, neither Gerry nor Nick are happy to rest on their laurels and they continually seek to develop and extend the range of services they provide, to meet the needs of the company’s 21st century clients.  In line with this, the company is now an authorised Humminbird dealer, also able to install electronic equipment such as GPS systems, fish finders, stereos and VHF radios including DSC systems and NMEA.

BURNHAM MARINE BOATSHED is open from 9.00 am until 20.00pm (sometimes later) Monday – Friday: Weekends from 14.00pm till around 18.00pm (afternoons only).
