WALK WITH GOD…….

As a Minister for over 20 years, it was in 1999 that Alan Murphy first became aware that in order to help others to understand better how they can serve God he had to embark on a series of journeys in line with Psalm 84 vs 5 “blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.”  Taking him all over the U.K. and abroad, his pilgrimages opened many doors, enabling him to help and encourage individuals, churches and schools in their journey, hence the supportive symbols of the sandal & staff.

In a recent interview Alan commented: “I grew up in the East End of London and gave my life to Jesus at 16 in 1970. My early years were spent in a Baptist Church and I was involved with youth work, preaching, visiting and became a leader at 21. I felt the call of God on my life for full time ministry and in 1987, became pastor of Wilmington Christian Fellowship, in Dartford, Kent, a non- denominational church, in membership with the Evangelical Alliance. Since then this has grown to 6 churches, known as Harbour Ministries, where I have been the Senior Pastor of the work.

During this time God has used me in church planting and training and gradually has extended my borders to include ministry overseas. It is to this end that Harbour Ministries have released me from this role to minister to churches in the U.K. and abroad, wherever there are open doors.”

Alan provides a number of workshops, seminars and prayer ministry for individuals and churches, helping them to understand the requirements for a long and exciting pilgrimage with God and alerting them to the many subtle signs the Lord puts our way. He has been able to visit schools and churches regularly and present live demonstrations of a Roman Soldier, which is very interactive and fun. Other demonstrations include a Victorian Day and soon a WW2 Experience  will be added to enhance further children`s appreciation about these historic events.

Alan added: “God has recently opened up some situations for me, both in the secular and christian fields, to partner people in their respective ministries and to work alongside other companies.
