INTRODUCING THE AWARD-WINNING
DEWERSTONE PHOTOGRAPHY
As part of our Corporate Policy to recognise outstanding achievements made within the business community, Media Today Online, has selected a number of forward-thinking companies that displayed a continual commitment to recognise best practice, innovative business processes and overall high quality customer-focused service. From these nominees a short list of finalists was then formed, who were assessed and scored on their individual merit. In line with this philosophy, it gives us great pleasure to announce that, Dewerstone Photography has been successful in winning the prestigious BA AWARD ONLINE NATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2011. As a completely independent Award Programme, recognising business excellence across a wide range of disciplines, the Business Achievement Award is recognised both locally and nationally.
The Business Achievement Award stands as an instantly recognisable seal of approval, which places the recipient amongst the finest in the country and serves as a recommendation to potential clients. There are several criteria for nomination, including the introduction of innovative ideas, first-class customer service and value for money, with the winners being those that truly deserve to be labelled as the “best of the best.”
Dewerstone Photography is the working title for Louise Tope who has been involved in showing dogs since 1984, having handled many different breeds across the various groups.
Louise Tope specialises in canine portraiture but also works on a number of other subjects including domestic animals and wildlife, people and children and cars and automotive. Greatly experienced in her field, Louise is a member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and British Professional Photographers Association.
In September 2009, Louise retired from a 21 years career as a professional canine beautician, turning to photography full time. Her desire and need to achieve balance and harmony in a perfectly groomed dog along with many years of experience in the show ring has given Louise a natural “eye” for a good photograph. Having always had an interest in photography and art studying the subject at GCSE and A-Level, Louise started out taking a few pictures for friends to feature in breed year-books and advertisements and has had a natural progression into the field since.
Louise started working for Our Dogs international newspaper in 2007 after submitting a portfolio to them and now covers a range of events in her area in the South West, plus general and breed club championship shows across the country, including Crufts.
Dewerstone Photography is regularly featured in the international Sighthound Magazine and has also appeared in various breed club magazines and yearbooks, the Crufts catalogue, Dog News Australia and the Mercedes-Benz Magazine.
Speaking of her passion on canine photography Louise said; “Digital photography has been a great help to the canine world. It is possible to take many more shots without waste, capturing all the very subtle differences in a dog’s expression, ear carriage and the like, that can turn a good picture into a great picture. My artistic flair allows me to create multi-layered, eye-catching advertisements and photo montages which are becoming increasingly popular for magazines and yearbooks. Personally, I still love to see dogs captured in black and white and often work in this medium. I am more than happy to photograph dogs in a formal show pose or perhaps, a less formal portrait. Either indoors in the studio or outside on a fine day-wherever the dog is happiest.”
Photo Shoot options available to clients include outdoor shoots where a location of your choice can be arranged such as a beach or park, in a studio or at your home with photo shoot sessions usually lasting up to an hour. Dewerstone also offer event coverage, advertising, canvas wrap prints and personalised photographic gifts and other ideas.
Dewerstone Photography use a Plymouth based professional photographic laboratory for the very best in print technology produced on the highest quality Fujifilm Professional photo papers in a lustre finish. This ensures that Dewerstone produces the very best in quality prints. Dewerstone shoots with Nikon professional digital cameras and uses Elinchrom equipment for studio lighting.
Having been singled out to receive the BA AWARD FOR Online National Photographer of the Year 2011 serves as a distinguishing factor that ranks Dewerstone Photography amongst the best in its field, as well as acting as a seal of approval to prospective clients.

Complete Canine Care

Introducing the Award-winning
COMPLETE CANINE CARE
Complete Canine Care ticks all the right boxes for dog owners seeking professional advice to help their pet overcome any behavioural problems they may be exhibiting.
Founder of Complete Canine Care Tamara Cartwright-Loebl, licensed NLP Practitioner, Member of CABTSG and ESVCE, as well as IPATA the pet travel association, is able to provide professional help and advice on behavioural problems relating to any size and breed of dog, as she explained in a recent interview:
“When treating any dog which the owner considers ‘badly behaved’ it’s necessary to take a step back and look at all aspects of the animals’ life to see if the dog’s behaviour relates in any way to something that is happening in their home environment, or something the owners are either doing, or failing to understand, that is disturbing the natural bond between the dog and owner. With this in mind, I always make home visits to see firsthand the environment in which the dog is living. I suppose you could say I act as a kind of ‘marriage guidance counsellor’ in trying to bring about a happy relationship between dog and owner, which nine times out of ten necessitates getting across to owners what they need to do in order to see a dramatic change in their dogs’ attitude.”
She added: “Most issues can be solved within 1 to 2 sessions, which can take place either in your home or in the local area.”
You may have seen Tamara on the TV last week making a guest appearance on E4’s latest hit reality TV programme Made in Chelsea, where she was able to offer one of the programme’s leading personalities Rosie Fortescue some invaluable advice on her beloved Dachshund dog Noodles.
Established in 2003, Award-winning COMPLETE CANINE CARE offers Dog Day Care and Home Boarding services in Knightsbridge, Chelsea, Kensington, Westminster, Fulham, Marylebone, Maide Vale, Central, West and City of London and a range of other services for all types of pets including Cat & Rabbit Care and a full door to door Pet Export package. Also popular is the company’s Delivery Service in which food, special treats, emergency supplies and even Birthday Bags can be supplied to you on a daily basis either to your home or hotel.
“We can transport your dog to and from a groomer or vet of your choice or our recommendation. Our vehicle is dedicated to animal transport and has air conditioning and water. We can also transport your dog to kennels, country houses, holiday homes and many other places as required, as well as providing car transport to Northern France, Belgium and the Netherlands and arranging long haul air travel.”
As you would expect from such a quality-conscious organisation, COMPLETE CANINE CARE is fully insured; with all staff being qualified in Canine First Aid.
COMPLETE CANINE CARE is no stranger when it comes to receiving accolades, having recently been selected by the Directors at London & Home Counties Today as recipient of the highly acclaimed BA AWARD FOR CANINE CARE SPECIALIST OF THE YEAR 2011, an independent Award Programme recognised both locally and nationally.
Receiving this Award is a milestone for COMPLETE CANINE CARE and forms the final piece of the jigsaw that confirms the organisation’s success, as well as acting as a seal of approval to prospective dog owners.
Commenting on receiving this accolade, Tamara went on to say: “I am thrilled to be awarded this honour and intend to continue to live up to the high standards set by London and Home Counties”
Concluding Tamara added: “We currently have some exciting projects in the pipeline, so keep watching our website www.completecaninecare.co.uk and look out for a Press Release which we hope to circulate later in the year.”
